Fabulously Funny Angela Merkel

This is Angela.



Angela was born in Hamburg (Germany) in 1954 and studied as a physicist, which has nothing to do with her job.  On that note, she's really, really, really good at her job.

In this case, her job happens to be running the most powerful nation in the European Union as the first female Chancellor of Germany, making her #5 on Forbes' 2013 list of most powerful people in the world.  She's had to guide Europe through a massive economic crisis and isn't afraid to call out the U.S. for overstepping boundaries by accusing the NSA of tapping her cell phone.  She's so unbelievably efficient and brilliant that sometimes people see her as kind of a "bureaucratic machine, cool, eternally composed, and unapproachable."(Spiegel)

Well, she's not a machine.  She's a human, who poops and laughs just like we all do.  It's too easy to think of successful leaders as some kind of super-human robots of awesomeness and power, but the truth is that they're just silly like us but committed and determined enough to make a difference.  On that note, here are some great faces from Angela Merkel.
