The Pop icon Lady Gaga made a clear critique on photoshopping images of magazine covers at the Glamour's 2013 Women of the Year Awards. She hasn't spoken out loudly against the usage of Photoshop before, so this was a bold move, as she also received an award from the magazine she had critiqued.
Gaga urged that magazine covers that are altered and beautified(in a commercial way) has damaging effects on the readers. She also encouraged young people to "fight back against the forces that make them feel like they're not beautiful." For more information or the whole article, click here.
