Michelle Obama: more than push-ups

Sunday, February 16, 2014 |

As you can tell, we love Ellen DeGeneres. Her Super Bowl commercial totally cracked me up, and Megan recently posted about her hilarious and empowering "World Domination" campaign. Ellen also happens to be buddies with one of my other favorite funny ladies: Michelle Obama, our First Lady. A while back, the two faced off in a push-up contest, with Michelle coming out as the victor.

Michelle prioritizes fitness beyond just beating Ellen in competition though. Her greatest initiative as First Lady is called Let's Move, and strives to combat childhood obesity. The program has come a long way and Michelle has spent time with tons of kids inspiring them to eat right and have fun exercising. She admitted to her love of Beyonce and encouraged kids to dance instead of watch T.V. In fact, over 600 middle schools across the country did similar dances to Beyonce at the same time. Check it out!

Michelle's message of combining health and fun continues to change lives and help our country work toward a healthier generation. You heard the First Lady, get out there and dance! Have fun! Stay healthy!
