As a snowboarder, I was thrilled to hear that Disney came out with a movie featuring a female halfpipe competitor who branches out on her own to become a threat in the male dominated sport. Her motto: "Nothing is impossible." And she proves this is true when you have the determination to succeed.

American women are certainly making a splash in the world of snowboarding. Our 2014 Olympic gold medal winners so far include Kaitlyn Farrington in women's halfpipe and Jamie Anderson in women's slopestyle, with Kelly Clark also winning bronze in the halfpipe. One more competition remains for the American women to prove their skill. Be sure to watch the women's parallel giant slalom competition tomorrow and cheer on the women of team USA!
